”Maliha is an inspiration, role model, upstanding, reputable, honest authentic women with experience and knowledge in Policing, Culture, Community and so much more that no other female else can live up to.
I was not being understood, the police failed to understand even today with the knowledge of Honour Based Abuse/Forced Marriage training they receive. I was left vulnerable and in dire need of help. Maliha worked with the Police, Housing and Social Services, giving them guidance and direction of what was required to safeguard me and my family. I owe my life to her.
She is one of the most sincere and humble people I have come across. She will give you good advice and support you throughout. It is a shame that Avon and Somerset Police do not continue to access her expertise as there are huge gaps still in not just Policing, but training, raising awareness and understanding on what happens.
There needs to be more people like Maliha that can help open knowledge and understandings of how the culture of Honour Abuse, Forced Marriages and Domestic Abuse should be dealt with in particular for victims support. This Woman has dedicated her entire life to helping people and I can not recommend her enough. She understands the value of life and can see things where others are failing.
Thank you Maliha for coming into our lives and giving is a second change at living safely and freely without fear.”

”Maliha helped me when I had been turned away by two Police Forces, West Yorkshire and Avon and Somerset, when I was escaping HBV and a Forced Marriage. I was judged because I am an Adult Male, and as the Police were concerned, I needed to sort myself out.
When Maliha found out about my situation, she immediately reached out to me, and that was the day I was about to end my life, as no one was helping me. From that day, with Maliah’s help and support I turned my life around. She worked with the Police and Social Services, getting me the much-needed support and a safe place. This lady does so much more than people know, and we need many more like her to help those who need it the most. She has a passion for helping others and a great understanding, I owe her my life, and that is no understatement, especially as a man experiencing honour abuse and a forced marriage.”

”Since the first moment I spoke to Maliha I felt heard and seen. We met under scary circumstances. She was there for me every step of the way. My experience in working with her is that she is extremely professional, empathetic, and understanding. These are extremely important traits. She goes above and beyond to help others. I have never met anyone like her. I am grateful that our paths have crossed.”
Many thanks for all your support.

Maliha is a well known pivotal, credible, respected Specialist in the field of Honour Based Violence and Domestic Violence, with almost four decades of extensive expert knowledge and experience, including her service in the police force, as the first female ethnic minority in the country. Individually she established methods to assist victims on a national and international basis, whereas police were ignorant, neglected cases, had been oblivious in recognising dangers victims were confronted by. She compiled policies, training programmes to raise awareness for police to follow as guidelines to identify details according to observations on scene, that were indicators of victims experiencing extreme distress, trauma or violence.. Her diligence, understanding of cultural and religious inclination be it for women or men is outstanding, saving hundreds and thousands of lives. Despite retiring from the police, she continued to maintain her passion to assist victims all over the world, independently and voluntarily.
I experienced first hand failures by multiple agencies with Maliha being the only lifeline that became my salvation, not only understanding the severity of the dilemma but acting resolute, confidently holding all accountable, proceeding with realism in signposting, facilitating rebuilding of our lives as a family.
Under Policing commendations, Maliha was awarded recognition for 3 consecutive years, a very clear indication of her empathy, dedication and ability to not only build rapport, trust with victims but her thoroughness in resolving cases to protect lives.
Her support and advice on cases extended to; Crown Courts, Social services, Local Authorities, Shelter, Women’s Aid, Home Office, Police to name but a few. Yet another insight regarding her ability to guide positions of authority, paramount to save high risk victims from life and death situations. Hence I would not hesitate to recommend Maliha as a trusted, capable professional that has become a voice of the unheard being a pillar of support for victims of violence without discriminating against gender, creed, religion or disabilities. She has demonstrated consistency in her approach to managing all cases and challenges, providing reassurance to victims throughout the process, including but not restricted to; relocation, non molestation orders, police incidence statement reporting, risk assessments, prompting social services, court proceedings, mental health services, survivor networking, charity referrals.
Despite underlying and undeniable issue of ignorance and racism permeating agencies including the police, whereby signs of HBV and DV victims were and still are disregarded, Maliha has remained unequivocally steadfast in her objective to prioritise survival of victims from harm of others, as a saviour for all.
With a reputation the precedes her, the reverence and acknowledgement Maliha deserves cannot be described enough, in the short context of her achievements, more importantly involvement of saving human life. I believe her humble trustworthy nature, dignity, honesty, professionalism, encapsulates a unique individual that truly cannot be replaced by any other, with such dedication, perseverance, compassion, alongside an unwavering commitment to the cause, missed by major corporate, public organisations and charities.
Kind Regards
